Poppy Workshop Photos

posted 26 Nov 2018, 11:49 by Chloe Woods

In October we held a poppy workshop, in parallel with the Sherington coffee morning. In attendance were about 15 children and a similar number of adults making poppies, and maybe 30 more people at the coffee morning.

The painting of the poppies took place at St Laud's Church, and the poppy event was on the 11th at the Sherington Remembrance service.

I think you'll agree the poppies looked fantastic?!

Poppy workshop - St Laud’s

posted 6 Oct 2018, 13:53 by Chloe Woods

On Saturday 13th October there will be an opportunity to come to a short ‘poppy’ workshop at St Laud’s, Sherington, where you can make a clay poppy to be part of a display of remembrance at our annual Remembrance Service in church on 11th November at 9.30am.

This is open to all ages and abilities – no previous experience necessary!

Come along and help us to mark this special Centenary Armistice Day with as many poppies as we can.

The workshop will run from 10am-12.00, in the church and will be free of charge. Coffee and refreshments will be available as part of our regular Coffee Morning fundraising event.
